How to Grow Your Substack Without an Audience

How can I grow my Substack without an audience?- This is a question I’ve been getting a lot lately.

And to be honest- the thought of sharing growth strategies and hacks makes me cringe.

I have one too many scars from people in the online space telling me “if you just do XYZ you’ll make it!”

And yet… I totally understand the question and curiosity.

And I’m grateful to share that Substack has built-in ways to help you grow your publication- even if you’re at square one.

I’m not talking about millions of subscribers overnight but in the past year and a half over 573 wonderful people have found and subscribed to my Substack simply from:

• Being here

• Making conversation and connections on the platform

• And titling my creations in an SEO friendly way.

So the quick answer is- being on Substack can help you find a few like minded friends who want to consume what you’re creating.
