Hi Hi!
I'm so excited to share that I'm restructuring my paid tier here on Substack to create:
More connection with yourself
More community
And to just talk more specifically about creativity, motherhood, and slow living.
And so I wanted to hop in and share my plans with you as we move forward in this space.
Why I’m restructuring (+ what to expect)
First and foremost, I had started to feel this call to switch things up a bit after a couple of downloads dropped in about resonance, potency and showing up in a way that feels good to me and is something that I would want to consume.
In my transition from business owner to creative, I’ve been wanting to meet more creatives. Any opportunity I find where creative people are congregating- I’m there.
That's why I created a call out for other slow living mom creatives in notes which turned into an entire directory of us- because I wanted to find my village and gather everybody up.
Monthly Creative Prompts
So the first change that’s happening here in the paid tier is to put a little bit more emphasis on community.
I feel like community, especially in the online space, can get overwhelming with a chat that doesn't end or constant Zoom calls that I can never show up to.
…. And our creative work time can be so finite.
So when I recently subscribed to The Reset by Kate Eskuri, DNP and saw her seasonal community chat I thought “THIS- is the way we can have community and conversation, without it feeling like such a time constraint.”
And so what she does, and what I plan on doing in my way, is she puts out a prompt, answers it herself, and then in the comments, everybody else can answer. Like, what was your favorite book you've read this year? She shares her experience, and then in the comments, everybody else shares theirs.
How fun is it to not only answer those questions and be able to reflect on that for your ever-evolving self but to connect and get recs in the community too!?
So, each month I'm going to be showing up with these creative prompts like:
Share a seasonal tradition you love that reflects a slower, more intentional pace of living.
Best fiction books you read this year
Show us your cozy creative setup
What’s one small habit you’ve added to your life that helps you feel more present in motherhood?
What creative project or hobby has brought you the most joy this year?
Share your go-to cozy tea, coffee, or beverage recipe for creative inspiration.
I'll share my experience and answers and everybody else in the community can share and recommend too.
(I honestly have over 50 now and have been having so much fun because it feels like a quiz!)
BTS My Creative Life
And then I saw this prompt by Sarah Fay:
And as I was reflecting on that and thinking through what is the content I've been craving and what am I enjoying consuming, some of the things that came up for me are:
A space where I feel seen and like I have a fun village of friends who get me and I can laugh and share and grow with, with content like:
Beautiful slow videos
Pretty graphics, magazine and imagery
Less frequent posts because it’s so potent
House tours/minimalist interior design talk
Book reads
Mugs found
Travel
Unschooling DITL
And while I have been sharing this a bit between my YouTube and here in my audios and videos, I just felt like making that a little stickier (probably more for myself than anything else.)
So I plan to be more intentional with sharing the behind the scenes of my creative life.
Seasonal Series
Last but not least, I want to take you on a journey with me. To share what I’m working through and offer prompts to help you through it too.
And when all is said and done- to wrap it all up in a small streamlined package (i.e. daily journal cards or a book)
So I plan to share a seasonal series where we have a deeper discussion in the comments, you walk away with the journal prompts and ideas that helped me with my creative and mom life and if you missed it or want to recap- you’ll have a beautiful digital gift that brings it all together.
So those are the three main pieces of the paid tier that I've restructured
to put a little bit more stickiness to it
to create more community
to create more connection
and to create more of what I want to see in my inbox
I hope that’s resonant with you too.
I'm so excited to have you in this community and to be able to connect.
I would love to get to see you in these new community sessions as well as the new content I'll be putting out too!
