All of this resonates! I retired from Instagram in 2020 and felt great about it. I had a minute last year when I thought I’d create a 9 grid and I got 2 posts in and was over it. (Although the way you’re describing it to basically echo my website sounds interesting.) So, who knows what will happen. This is the year I’m doing business completely differently. I’m throwing away all the ideas about that ways I’m supposed to do business and completely committing to following my HD strategy and authority.

You might be convincing me Megan 👏. I love writing and always find my IG social posts too surface level or that no one actually reads my long form posts bc they are already onto the next shiny thing.

YES! There’s such a shift here!! Not to mention when you pair this concept with the transcript of what you’ve said on your new podcast 😍 it’s gold and so authentic ✨

So well said! Just this weekend I told my husband that I’m going to dig deep and have focus in one area. Substack seems the right place for my posts and what I want to share with the world. I like the long form and actually remember what I read instead of scrolling and never having any recollection on what I just saw for 30 minutes. Substack is more genuine to me so here I sit and work on digging deeper and learning from others and connecting!! It feels right!

I couldn’t agree more Ellen! Last night after the kids were asleep I scrolled on IG for far too long - watching Reels and laughing (which is great!) but this morning it felt like a regret hangover you know? One reel that really made me chuckle stood out but it was nothingness.

This morning (it’s my me tome) and I’ve spent 2 hours sitting here reading substacks of real substance!

I’ve been thinking about deleting the Instagram app to really help me focus here 💕

Let me know if you delete it! I’ll be envious bc I just can’t do that quite yet! Not sure why but infrequently I do post some of my art on there … when it feels right! One of these days! Happy weekend!

I did delete it after this message! I can still access comments and dms on desktop and when I need to post for some other projects I'm working on, I plan to redownload it, post and then delete again- being more intentional😍

LOVE this Kelsey! My husband (and co-founder in this biz) just said: our only rule is that there are no rules!

I’m totally going with what feels good and ignoring the “shoulds” and perfectionism that’s been holding me back!

So great meeting like minded women ✨
